Term 3 Focus and Literature
We are wrapping up our look at themes from To Kill a Mockingbird with a project that includes a visual collage and a written essay expressing our understanding of theme and how it is evident throughout a novel.
After February Break:
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
Students will participate in active readings in class to comprehend what makes this title a classic love story, or not.
Independent Reading = Based on their success and obstacles, students have adapted and created new personalized goals. Students will review a book of their choice at the end of term 3 after learning about what components make a useful book review.
Vocabulary = drama, stage cues, Elizabethan terms
Literary Elements = monologue, dialog
